Straight answers before you book.
The short version: Ridgeway can plan, build, and manage almost anything your business handles on a screen. The scope, price, ownership, access, and operating responsibilities go in writing before work begins.
01 / The basics
What Ridgeway does.
What does Ridgeway actually do?
Ridgeway helps small businesses improve everything they manage on a screen: websites, automation, AI and software agents, voice and text agents, content systems, AI avatars, custom software, integrations, dashboards, reporting, and the recurring work between them.
What is the AI Opportunity Audit?
The fixed-scope front door. In five business days you get a five-dimension scorecard, a tool-stack review, three to five ranked automation opportunities, a 60-day action sequence, and a recorded walkthrough you keep. It gates contracting scope so nobody builds blind. How the audit works →
Does Consulting include implementation?
No. Consulting is pure advisory: we study the business, rank the opportunities, and hand you a written plan you can execute with us or anyone else. If you want Ridgeway to build and operate it, that’s Contracting.
What does managed delivery include?
Ridgeway builds, connects, manages, and improves the digital systems named in the statement of work. The responsibilities, operating cadence, approval rules, support expectations, and flat monthly rate are stated in writing.
Who is Ridgeway for?
Small and growing businesses that need capable help with digital systems but do not want to coordinate a separate website firm, automation consultant, AI builder, content operation, software developer, and integration specialist.
Do you build custom software?
Yes. Ridgeway can build focused internal tools, portals, dashboards, integrations, and utilities when off-the-shelf software does not fit the work.
02 / Pricing & engagement
Money questions, answered straight.
What does Ridgeway typically cost?
The current typical ongoing range is published on the Pricing page. Discovery defines the scope and one flat monthly rate. One-time projects are quoted separately.
When do I get a final number?
The first call gives you pricing direction. The final flat rate follows discovery, once the systems, responsibilities, deliverables, operating cadence, and support needs are clear enough to put in writing.
What are the engagement terms?
Ongoing work is scoped during discovery and priced as a flat-rate monthly retainer. The responsibilities, support cadence, term, notice period, and change process live in the signed statement of work.
How are one-time projects priced?
Defined work such as website builds, edits, migrations, integrations, dashboards, and focused software projects is quoted separately based on the deliverable and timeline.
Can we start small?
Yes — that’s the designed path. Bring one workflow to the free mapping call. If it’s worth automating, the audit scopes it properly before any build. Nothing about the front door requires a big commitment.
03 / The audit
The front door, in detail.
What do I get from the audit?
A five-dimension scorecard of your office, a review of your tool stack, three to five ranked automation opportunities with the reasoning shown, a 60-day action sequence, and a recorded walkthrough. It’s a deliverable, not a sales artifact — it stands on its own.
How long does the audit take?
Five business days from kickoff. The scope is fixed, which is what keeps the turnaround honest.
What do you need from us during the audit?
A few short conversations with the people who touch the work, and a look at the tools you run — what they are, how they connect, where the copy-paste happens. No system access is required to produce the audit.
Does the audit commit us to a build?
No. The plan is written so you can execute it with us or with anyone else. If you go on to sign a Contracting agreement within 90 days, the audit fee credits fully toward the first month.
What if the audit says AI isn’t worth it for us?
Then the audit says that, in writing. Some problems are process problems, and a checklist beats an agent. We’d rather tell you that than build something that shouldn’t exist.
04 / Contracting & operations
How the operated system works.
Can Ridgeway manage the whole digital operation?
Yes. The agreed scope can cover multiple connected areas — website, automation, agents, content, software, integrations, dashboards, and support — under one flat-rate retainer.
What happens if the scope changes?
The agreement can grow or narrow with the business. Ridgeway documents material scope changes and both sides agree on any rate adjustment before the change takes effect.
What is shadow mode?
Every system runs alongside your existing process first — drafting, filing, and flagging while a human still does the real work. Nothing touches live customer work just because a demo looked good. Production starts when shadow output has proven itself.
Who operates the systems?
A Ridgeway team with clear owners for the systems in scope. The team monitors important paths, handles exceptions, maintains integrations, and improves the work under the support terms in the SOW.
What happens when something breaks?
The operator owns the investigation. Every system keeps a full audit log, so we can trace what happened, fix the workflow, and show you the trace — not shrug at a black box.
How do changes to scope work?
In writing, before the change. Ridgeway documents the new responsibilities, deliverables, and support needs, then both sides agree on any pricing adjustment.
05 / Ownership & security
Whose data, whose engine, whose keys.
Who owns what?
You retain ownership of your business data, customer-facing accounts, brand assets, and the deliverables identified as yours in the SOW. Ridgeway retains its reusable methods, operating tools, and platform components. The agreement documents the handoff and exit package.
Where does our data live?
The data path is documented per engagement. Managed systems can use client-specific infrastructure, provider projects, and credential vaults, while files can remain in storage the client already controls. The full security page →
How is AI-provider data use handled?
When AI providers are used, Ridgeway selects commercial services and reviews provider terms, retention options, and data-handling settings for the proposed workflow. The configuration and any material boundaries are documented in scope.
Whose AI accounts does the system run on?
That is decided by the engagement. Ridgeway can manage commercial provider projects for the system, or work within approved client-owned accounts when the technical and security requirements call for it.
How are security requirements scoped?
Ridgeway reviews the systems, data classes, vendors, access levels, actions, retention needs, and contractual requirements involved before production access is granted. The controls and responsibilities are documented in the engagement. Read the security page →
Can we leave and keep working?
Yes. Your data is exportable any day, not just at exit. When you leave you also get a documented snapshot of what was built — enough for you or another firm to carry the work forward.
06 / Getting started
The first call, demystified.
What happens on the mapping call?
Thirty minutes on one workflow: where it starts, who touches it, where it stalls. You leave with a first-pass workflow map whether you hire us or not, and a straight recommendation — plan it, build it, or leave it alone.
What should I bring to the call?
The ugly version. Name the repetitive work, the people touching it, and what keeps breaking. Screenshots and messy notes beat a polished write-up — we’re mapping reality, not grading a deck.
How fast can we start?
Timing depends on the engagement and current capacity. The audit is designed for a five-business-day delivery after kickoff; one-time builds and ongoing engagements receive a timeline with the proposed scope.
Do we need to clean up our data or systems first?
No. Come as you are — messy spreadsheets included. Data cleanliness is one of the dimensions the audit scores, and it shapes what gets automated first. Fixing it beforehand just hides the problem we need to see.
We already tried AI and it flopped. Now what?
Bring the current system, documentation, and failure points to the mapping call. Ridgeway can identify what is useful, what needs repair, and whether a simpler approach would serve the business better.
Can Ridgeway work with us remotely?
Yes. Most discovery, building, integration, support, and managed digital work can be delivered remotely. Any location-specific needs are discussed during scoping.

Ask the rest in person.
Thirty minutes, one workflow, a straight answer. If the fit isn’t there, we’ll say so on the call.
